I bought this to use as a display switcher between my work laptop (Macbook Pro 2019) and Windows desktop with RTX 3080. The result is connected to Acer x34 at 3440 x 1440p at 100Hz (using GSync on PC). I connected a USB cable to my monitor's USB hub, which I just manually plug in between computers. An alternative to this setup prior to purchasing this switch was to connect my MacBook's Thunderbolt dock output to an HDMI equipped monitor, which limited me to 3440 x 1440 at 50Hz, but now I get a full 100Hz Display that works fine between the two and keeps the display setup on the DisplayPort input and only with a switch to change the inputs. Not sure what's up with other reviewers and question answers saying it doesn't work at that resolution. I've bought some quality cables from Revain here and haven't had any issues with them.
