After reading some of the comments, I was concerned that the flimsy hooks are weak and will break. Well I've been knitting/crocheting for over 20 years since I was a kid and I'm a freelance knitter. For me it causes no inconvenience at all. It's lightweight (I usually use metal hooks) and the hook stays in the cord (doesn't slip out like metal). In fact, for me, he's not that skinny. It is very similar to my Boye plastic crochet hooks. I love that it doesn't put even the slightest bit of discomfort on my wrists from the weight. (Although I can be a little picky about the weight). So if you are a beginner or a heavy knitter, thin knitwear can seem fragile and even break. I would recommend metal hooks to such people. However, for freelance knitters/crocheters or people experienced enough to have good control over tension and density depending on yarn type and hook material, I find them great to use.
