Poor product, the quality is below average.

The router is nice, and the fact that it has 5 GHz and useful functionality makes the flaws bearable. In point of fact, there are even more problems, but the rest of them are quite minor. Furthermore, some of the people who have minor problems in support have decided to solve it, while others refuse to fix it. The majority of the problems are software-related, but the developers are unwilling to solve them because of their laziness. For instance, practically all of these drawbacks do not exist in even the earliest versions of Zyxel's products. Considering the cost, I would not advocate making a purchase because there are other options available.

Pros

1. Nice interface. 2. There is a straightforward and understandable configuration of the most crucial tasks (Setup Wizard). 3. There is both a firewall and functionality to protect against DDoS attacks. 4. You can choose an icon to put on devices that are connected to the network, and the options that are presented to you are solid choices. 5. There is a Quality of Service function available (for skilled users). 6. The addition of parental controls and URL/keyword filtering will be beneficial to families.

Cons

1. The Internet or wireless network connections may become temporarily unavailable for a few seconds at random intervals. Rare, but not to anyone's liking. 2. Although the router does not always make an accurate determination of the type of connection, this is something that may be changed manually. 3. Despite the fact that there are two antennas for each band, the signal strength for the 2.4 GHz band is even somewhat lower than it was with my previous router, which only had one antenna and one band. 4. The administrative panel does not allow the configuration of numerous users for permission purposes. You are unable to permit simultaneous authentication from several devices. You can block access to the device from which the blocking happens, for instance. After doing so, it will be unable to go into the settings until the authority to do so is obtained or until the router is restarted (which cannot be done remotely). The technical support team will not admit that there is an issue or attempt to remedy it. 5. A hardwired Internet connection is the only way to connect to the internet; you cannot utilize another wireless network to do so. 6. The configuration of the router takes a very lengthy time. 7. The rules of filters, forwarding, and other lists cannot be edited; the only options are to delete the list and establish a new one. 8. The SMB server can only operate on the outdated protocol, making it open to attack from potentially harmful viruses. Tech support has nevertheless stated that they are working on implementing compatibility for newer versions of SMB.
