This might sound like a harsh review title. Not everything about this collector is dreary and hopeless, but unless you're a DIY enthusiast who uses this tool twice a year to work on your cars/appliances, you might find it difficult to recommend this tool for professional use. On the bright side, the gauges have readings for R-134A, R-404, R-22, and R-410A, which is not common for a "budget distributor". The distributors I have seen are usually digital distributors. like Elitech and Morrisons, some of which are 2-5 times more expensive than this BraveX. Lots of accessories. There is (almost) everything you need to fill/pump this cooling system (except for the vacuum pump of course), it comes with many more accessories than the average AC splitter in this price range, again for as many accessories as you would i I'm looking at something like a collector for over $249, so it's great that they have so many accessories. Connections for various gases, cylinders, hoses and refrigerants are included except for a self sealing cylinder valve - good quality fittings and hoses. The fittings are CNC machined and the hoses have a strong feel and solid connectors. and with the display above it's hard to read, yes it works, but if it's your daily tool for work you might find it inconvenient. - Sensors are made of plastic. I was hoping they were covered in rubber/silicone but they are metal. No, they have a plastic case, there is never such a good sign for the refrigerant manifold as you know, accidents happen, it's not bad case quality, just bad luck with the previous manifold with plastic gauge cases, which is strange because they proudly advertise airplane -Aluminum housing which adds weight to the whole assembly but comes with plastic sensor housings. The handles are made of plastic. Similar to the problem above, plastic grips have a tendency to rip off and sometimes crack at the joint, especially when exposed to heat while hanging from an air conditioner or hood. - Case for carrying/storage. This is a tiny molded plastic case that holds 4 hoses and their accessories. While including a tote bag is always a positive thing, when storing your tools, if you want to take one with you, make sure you don't worry that you need to PERFECTLY size the hoses, every connector, and the little compartment. be able to close it and the latches are not very strong. - The kit did not include a self-sealing can valve. I already had one so it didn't bother me too much, but for the US market at least it's a very important valve to have on hand at all times. Sometimes I think they tried too hard to fit too much into one package while keeping the cost down and including too many features, but others neglect I got this as a secondary manifold to my $499 Elitech EMG40V and its Readings are accurate but everything else like durability due to some weak points and carrying case would take the product away from 2 stars if some consideration were given.
