December 2020 Rating: Great but I shouldn't be reading reviews that don't explain how LONG it takes to FILL both black and white filters! Tanks) = after playing the game when they tried to mount some sort of sink faucet to the rubber piece and then the black filters they both seemed to eject water droplets as they should. AFTER installing and removing a tank of filtered water, it took at least 3-4 more resets full of tanks for the PPM of tap water to become +10 (it jumped +50ppm for the first 3-4 tanks) and also in aftertaste you could tell something was different until they were completely washed away. The water quality taste after a FULL fill/flush of the BLACK filters was much better than tap water and much better than Brita which tasted almost the same as tap water in comparison. A FEW DAYS later 2 fluoride/arsenic filters arrived FLUORIDE FILTERS = (summary - prime for 5-15 minutes each, then rinse with 10-15 tanks or until the oily/cloudy substance on the TOP of the filtered water is gone) was instructed to removing the stickers that simply show the installation direction of your filters (many YouTubers/"authorized resellers" in the video didn't do this) and then washing the outside of the filters with mild soapy water while the blue caps were still on. I did, but I can imagine not doing it to the extent necessary to completely clean it and the sticker residue. 2. You need to prime the filter the same way as the black filter EXCEPT on both sides. I spent at least 15-20 minutes getting both filters to work clear with no cloudiness. 3. If you EVER get to the point where they stop showing haze or sediment, he will instruct you to spin 8 times just to attach them. These directions are missing. Should it be closed? Should it go all the way to the black thread area? What to do if it gets crowded after 7? 4. He then instructs to dispose of the first tank of filtered water. and maybe up to 9 more tanks if you see clouds. I've only been walking around with these fluoride filters and around tank 8 for the past two days and I'm still seeing OILY residue on the filtered water. I even removed the filters to clean them a bit more on the outside in case there is still sticker residue on the outside of these white PLASTIC fluoride filters. Do the oily residues disappear after about 2 tanks? Will the first taste of filtered water with both sets of filters differ from the taste with just black filters? Aluminum duct from fluoride filters in the water? As mentioned, it wasn't there when just using the black filter. Tried it after those 15 dumps and it's like or the same as just black. Friends reported a sweet taste with fluoride filters and I don't think they missed anywhere near 15 tanks so returned it as I've seen others tell a similar story with their fluoride filters. Five stars for two. Black filters on a Travel Berkey after being fully filled/flushed.
