Bought these and similar Blike MTBs to compare; I keep both but these are better for me. I'm a size 38 (working on it) and the XXL fits great and importantly has room for my rather massive butt. Even better, since I squat a lot, the stretch panels mean there are no bindings; all my pants and shorts have died from stress in the seams over the decades but I don't think that would be a problem. Extremely light so we'll have to look at durability but worth it even if they die early; ultra comfortable. Also lie on top of me just below the knee which is cool. Pros: bags for a few days! Flexible, light and cool. function loops. Quirky look without being overly silly. Good padded cycling boxers are available in combos. Front top pockets are denim style and deep enough to be functional (blikes are shorter than we would like). Cons: No back pockets or watch pocket; Not a big deal but I like the watch pocket and Blikes has a back pocket. If you're not wearing a belt, check out Blikes; they have short top pockets and no functional belt loops, but dress better; Keep them as workout/gardening shorts and buy more with regular use.
