Needed a 1/2" sliding tooth blade for my 14" band saw to do a little cutting. The price was good for this size so I gave it a try. After methodically adjusting every aspect of my bandsaw when I installed this blade, it began to cut beautifully. The first tree was small pear branches I rescued from a friend's fallen tree. The blade didn't seem to like it, slicing a surprisingly smooth edge into chunks. It would almost be possible to sand them smooth instead of running them through a plane (but I did). I've used it a few times for simple band saw work on thick pieces of wood and it has worked well. Plan to keep it in the saw as my regular blade. The next question will be how long the sharpness lasts. If I don't cut their nails, I think I'll have a good life with him.
