Review on Military Lensatic Sighting Compass Waterproof For Outdoor Activities - GWHOLE by Kendrick Dooley

Revainrating 1 out of 5

I think I'll throw this out and buy another Suunto MC-2 or a UST Hi Vis

Tipping a LITTLE from one side to another made the compass change 5-20 degreesIf I hold the compass such that the dial is apparently as free as it can be, the level bubble is straddling the line of the circle in the 7 o'clock position (it should be dead center of the circle). When looking thru the view port, to see the degrees, you cannot see the level bubble, so you cannot be certain that its orientation has not changed. If I keep it pointed at a fixed point, and tip the compass a little to the left, the dial moves. If I keep it pointed at a fixed point, and tip the compass a little to the right, the dial moves in the opposite direction. There is a hole on the bottom to mount it to a tripod, which would prevent the tipping and it's effect (described above), but I don't hike with a tripod. do you?

Pros
  • High accuracy, built-in a bubble level, which can improve its accuracy and decrease its errors.
Cons
  • The product may not be user-friendly
