Very good, inexpensive, very nice toaster (especially in our 50's house). worth your money. The map they give you showing which toast settings give you which light or dark levels is pretty much useless. Settings 1 and 2 (and 3) are really almost no toast. I've found that at least a setting of 4 gives me a moderate tan, which I like. But it's not a problem. You just figure out where to set the dial by using it multiple times. Bingo. Make sure you let it heat up the first time and there is nothing in it to burn factory dust, odor, etc. (I won't give 5 stars unless the toaster also makes me coffee and brings me toast.) I would buy it again.
