Starrett tools always meet your expectations.
I have never seen a Starrett tool that didn't meet my expectations. They are always good and usually better than most other tools. Additional costs are usually, if not always, acceptable given the quality of the product. Update January 20, 2021: I made the mistake of marking a very precise point in the center of a 16" plywood circle that I cut with a jigsaw. The mark left by direct pressing was too faint to see, so I wiggled the pen a bit to enlarge it. This force was enough to snap off the carbide tip and leave it in the plywood. Here is the tool for you!
