I used this unit to replace a 60 year old assembly in a vintage Magic Chef RV heater. The old unit still worked but had no temperature control and no external thermostat. The heater was rated at 7,000 BTU, which is well within the capabilities of this controller. I also installed the LP conversion kit for the new controller which only took five minutes and worked well. I had to replace the original thermocouple with a millivolt thermocouple, which required minor modifications to the control assembly. Everything fitted, everything worked great, and now I have a remote thermostat on the wall to regulate the heat. Very happy. Remember - when you work with gas, you need to know what you're doing or your friends will read about you in the paper.
