Review on Carburetor Tecumseh 640086A TH098SA Powerlite by Jaymai Alford

I installed the first carburetor I received. The snowblower didn't start, but ran briefly and squirted some gasoline into the chamber. I went inside and came back to find gas escaping from a small vent pipe next to the primary supply. Contacted customer service, they advised me to send it back and sent me another carb which allowed the fan to start the first time. Considering I lost a full tank, the time it took to install the X2, and the frustration that the machine didn't work when I needed it, I can only give two stars here. Quality control should be better ------ other reviewers have also complained about faulty devices. Let the buyer be alert
