I've been using mine several times a day for about a month and I'm very happy with its performance. I removed the bracket from mine (easy to do) and attached it to the dog run pivot. Now my beagle can easily go into the bushes to go about his business without getting tangled like he did when using the slack rope I had there before. One thing I didn't like at first was that my kids let him get involved. After unbuckling, the beagle landed happily. I was trying to figure out a way to add some sort of stopper to the cord so that about 7 feet would remain outside the spool. Then I found that the cable has a small rubber grommet that can be moved up and down to prevent the cable from being pulled in at any point along its length. As mentioned in the description, this works best with a harness rather than a collar as the tension is quite high (I probably should have bought the small dog version).
