This technique exceeded my expectations. After installing it on my 2001 Civic LX, I noticed an increase of about 5 horsepower. It doesn't sound like much, but I really feel the difference. There is a noticeable surge when accelerating, especially above 3000 rpm. With the stock exhaust, it doesn't change the sound of the engine much, but it does make it sound more aggressive. Fuel economy is slightly better, although I bought it mainly for performance. Installation was more difficult than I expected, although to be honest I've never worked on cars much. The instructions were easy to follow, but I encountered difficulties in several places, particularly connecting the black hose between the intake manifold and the throttle body. Installation took about 2.5 hours, although a professional could probably do it in about 45 minutes. I highly recommend installing an aftermarket exhaust system with this inlet to maximize the performance gain with this part. After installing a high flow muffler I noticed an even greater increase in performance and improved sound. When you receive this greeting you will not be disappointed.
