If you have a problem with your product, use this troubleshooting tip. I use an HP laptop and an ACER monitor. It worked like a charm for about a year. Windows OS and dual monitor worked flawlessly. Then Windows recently did not "extend" the monitor. I had to find and isolate the problem. (1) Windows configuration, (2) HDMI cable (which I include), (3) monitor, or (4) this adapter. I had an extra laptop and HDMI cable; I was able to rule out (1), (2) and (3). So I guessed it was number 4. So I bought a new "USB C to HDMI Cable" through Revain Prime. I was delivered the same day. I was right. It was the adapter that broke.
