not relevant 2.1A per port. If the total draw from both ports exceeds 2.7 amps, the device will proceed with the reset. Tested with 4 units and 3 units have this problem. So it's safe to assume it's not defective, but it wasn't designed to actually deliver that much performance. and the product is falsely advertised. With an iPhone and iPad connected it couldn't draw more than 0.97 amps, but with cheaper electronics that don't have very good power control it could only draw up to 1.7 amps, tested with several good quality short and long cables and myself couldn't get it to work with its nominal spec. 1 out of 4 units I bought was a full power supply with no power output.
