Farberware vs. Ecolution Griddles

Until now I've always bought $12 worth of pans at my local store. However, the non-stick coating always scratches easily, even when using plastic spatulas. They will also warp if you run them under cold water before they cool. So I started searching the internet for something better. I was a bit skeptical about paying almost twice as much for the Ecolution, so I did a direct comparison as soon as I received it, as you will see in my two photos. Here are the differences I found: 1. The Ecolution shell is significantly thicker than aluminum.2. Farberware weighs 1.54 lbs, Ecolution weighs 1,885 lbs which is 22% heavier (more metal)3. The Ecolution grip is definitely more comfortable than the Farberware4. There are more concentric "fins" on the underside of the Ecolution, which definitely provides better heat distribution5. The Ecolution pan is slightly larger (more cooking surface). In my second photo, a Farberware pot is placed in an Ecolution.6 pot. Culinary test. The Ecolution pan's non-stick coating is definitely "slicker" than Farberware (food slides off more easily). CONCLUSION: I have come to the conclusion that the Ecolution pan is definitely better and worth the price. The only thing I have yet to test is what happens in my dishwasher after a few cycles, so I'll be updating this review in the future.
