Replacement BCM for 2002 Saturn Vue

Works well replacing a failed Body Control Module (BCM) in a 2002 Saturn Vue with 2.2 liter I4 engine and 5 speed manual transmission. This requires special programming with a dealer diagnostic tool. such as Tech 2 and related software on the computer terminal to set the correct parameters, otherwise your car will not start. My symptoms included the dashboard lighting up like a Christmas tree. The airbag light, check engine light, and service engine light come on. The tachometer needle dropped to zero and the ABS and BRAKE lights on the dash came on. The odometer reset to zero miles when I disconnected the battery. When I reconnected the battery there was a beep and the lights flashed like someone pushed the panic button. The safety light on the dash came on and the fuel pump shut off so the car didn't run for 10 minutes. Basically it was a mess and nothing seemed to work reliably. The scan tool was able to retrieve codes from the Engine Control Module (ECM), Supplemental Inflatable Restraint System (SIR), and Instrument Panel Module (I/P) and they indicated communication issues with the BCM. I did a lot of reading and found out that all of my symptoms could be related to a faulty BCM so I spoke to the GM dealer and tried to figure out what BCM I would need as I had GM 22693423 and couldn't find it anywhere. .As for the part numbers, this 25779919 appears to be a BCM replacement for most 2002-2007 first generation Saturn Vue models. However, if you look at the Revain Car Fitting Assistant, it will tell you that it is not compatible with 2002. Construction year. The technically correct model number for replacing the BCM with a 2002 Vue is 19116638, which is actually a kit containing BCM 25779919 and two LHJ011 key fobs. The 2002 Vue originally used the LHJ009 fobs and they are no longer compatible with the updated BCM, so GM was kind enough to create a new part number that included the updated fobs. expensive and hard to find, I assembled my own at a much lower price by purchasing this block 25779919 and a couple of LHJ011 key fobs separately. After the reprogramming it is like new, no more dashboard lights, the odometer shows the correct value and the key fobs work. someone.
