Yes, there are three economy models for this price, but you're not really talking about the big bucks - and for a quality tool that will likely accompany you for a lifetime, that's a small price to pay! Everything is "simply better" - thicker material, smoother running, more comfortable in the hand. If you just have one big job to do or use a caulking gun more than once a year, it's worth it.
