Review on ๐Ÿ”ง Lisle 38350 Exhaust Hanger Removal: Effortless Exhaust System Maintenance Tool by John Maynard

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Don't think twice about buying this tool.

I repeat what others have said. Rather than attacking your exhaust gimbals with a crowbar and risking damaging things underneath, do yourself a HUGE favor and buy this tool. You will save yourself from frustration and anger. By the way, I could not find this tool for sale in any regular store. Here's a story that illustrates how well this tool is worth the money, even after a single use: my car jacked up at home, I get under the floor, I oil the KY jelly hangers, I use the tool. The exhaust comes off without drama even after 20,000 miles. Maximum 10 minutes, work of one person. No problem. No disappointment. I take my exhaust to another man to change it. His car is on jack stands. He and his burly friend struggled with his exhaust for OVER an HOUR and one of the exhaust hangers just "got stuck". (This is at 2500 miles on the system.) Cans of WD40 and PB Blaster are scattered. They are obviously upset and don't know what else to do. They even apologize and apologize I don't think we can do an exchange because we can't remove the exhaust pipe from the car. I took a pair of pliers with me, just in case, and when I showed them the look of relief on their faces was immediate and obvious. A minute later his exhaust flies out of the car. The tool has paid for itself many times over in terms of time saved, frustration avoided, and longer lifespan. Don't think twice about buying this tool if you are going to do some DIY exhaust work with rubber mounts!
