We've only used this once, but making pasta was relatively easy! The device is SOLID with all steel parts except for the plastic body, nothing to suggest that this is any kind of cheap product. With the dial on the front you can adjust the thickness of the dough. Cleaning is of course easy, including the occasional use of mineral oil to keep the parts running smoothly. We simply used regular mineral oil, which can be found in any store. All in all a great attachment for our KitchenAid 👍
