For some reason the battery posts on my new car battery (1992 Honda Accord) were too small for the wire clamps. The clamps were tight but still wouldn't connect and my car wouldn't start. Those battery spacers were pretty tight and I think I had to stretch them a lot, but since I added them they are running 100%. This seems like a cheap and shoddy solution and I wish I had the right clamps for the bars, but I'll probably never bother with it enough.
