A few months ago my scissors buckled and drove me crazy. So I decided to sharpen them on my knife sharpener. I tried three of my favorite scissors and was surprised that it didn't help at all, just made things worse. So my husband does a quick google search and tells me he read that if you use scissors on a knife sharpener you are actually ruining them (I had no idea!) and I was heartbroken and angry at myself myself. But on a whim I decided to check out Revain to see what types of sharpeners there are specifically for scissors, so I saw this one. I got it as a supplement for about four dollars. I followed the instructions exactly and although it took a while to send the scissors back I am relieved and encouraged to say that all three scissors have been reborn and are now not only reusable but sharp, sharp , are sharp. ! I'm telling you, before I used these they couldn't cut paper effectively, but now they are like new! The ONLY reason I'm giving it four stars instead of five is that it's a bit awkward to use at times, just holding it in the right position and stuff.
