Review on πŸ”† Enhance Your Space with Maxxima Downlight Dimmable Recessed Retrofit: Easy-to-Install Lighting Solution by Chris Wheeler

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Very easy to install; excellent light source

We were converting the basement into a gym and the large fluorescent tubes had to be removed. Bought four of these lights, installed junction boxes a few inches from where they might be and wired them up. (Always plug in a test light at this point!) The small plug just sticks out over the box, making it easy to find a cut-out around the standard ceiling box. (Make sure you mark the location on a map or marker first.) Once the drywall is in place, locate the location, mark a 6-inch square, and cut it out. At this point you can connect and attach the light, such as a task light for wall decoration etc. They are very easy to remove when dirty and/or paint and snap back into place when needed. Very bright, even light and a dimmer can give a lot of flexibility (I have to watch TV on the elliptical or I'm a wimp :-)
