Review on 🚙 Primer Hood Vent Insert for 2007-2018 Jeep Wrangler JK by Rugged Ridge 17759.11 by Deelo Sylvester

I purchased this item to allow the engine compartment to dissipate some of the trapped heat, particularly after installing a supercharger on my 2007 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Sahara. Installation required trimming the hood, as long as you take your time you'll be fine, but cutting a perfect quality hood is a little disconcerting. I used the outline that came with the kit, but I also confirmed the location of the holes on the actual hood vent. Use masking tape on the cut lines to prevent the paint from peeling when using a cut-off wheel. I do not recommend cutting the X frame or you will lose the stability of the hood structure. When painting I matched my color with high temp paint and primer so it doesn't discolor from the heat but if left black it looks great too. Overall I am very happy with the purchase and would recommend them to anyone looking to cool down their jeep and that looks bad too @ss.
