Installation was a little easy. I had to hammer it with a rubber mallet to line up the screw holes. Also, I don't know why I had trouble installing the crank into the head of the jack screw. It felt like ripping off the head of a bolt, but it actually deformed the end of the jack bar that raises and lowers the spare tire. As if he hadn't gone deep enough to get a decent grip. I banged the rod with a hammer to make sure it was fully down but I only got a few good spins before it started slipping again. In addition, this lift does not have a cable end fuse like the OEM lift. .So I need to use a chain and lock to fix the tire to the frame for more security. The lift kit does not contain any fasteners. So if, like me, you need new screws or clips, NAPA Auto stocks them.
