Review on Jiusion 2560X1440P Microscope Cellphone Magnification by Amy Kearse

Great little microscope

I was very impressed with the lower resolution microscope and my only complaint about it was that I wanted a higher resolution and a better stand. When the HD version was available I just had to try it. There were initial setup issues due to conflicting drivers, but Jiusion's tech support was very knowledgeable and responsive. Microscopes have several differences besides the increased resolution. The lower resolution version was black, 640 x 480, had a zoom and a push button with an adjustable thumbwheel on a cable that could be used to vary the light intensity. The higher resolution had a deep dark blue color, 1920x1080 resolution, light intensity, and push button. Both versions have a thumbwheel at the base of the microscope for focusing and magnifying, but I preferred having a zoom button and thumbwheel to adjust the light intensity as the HD model's button only offers 3 intensity options compared to the more flexible model on the HD model. Lower resolution model. Quality was excellent and crisp, and images were very clear to see despite being slightly smaller and darker than the lower-resolution model. I first tried setting it up on an Android phone but couldn't because the included USB-C adapter didn't fit my phone due to the case getting in the way. I ended up using it on a PC with the xploview software, which made taking photos and videos much easier. I recommend buying the HD version to anyone who needs some sort of magnification for small objects. It's very reasonably priced, easy to use, and offers great support if you're having trouble. The only recommendation to the manufacturer would be to return the zoom knob and add weight to the included stand so it doesn't move or tip over. All in all a very worthwhile purchase.

Pros
  • Sturdy design
Cons
  • Poorly thought out
