This is the first switch I've ever seen that didn't have numbers for each U out there. But considering the price, it's amazing how flexible the width settings are - you can only use this with network equipment or true full-size rack servers. Although I write below, this solves this problem. While the rack is still empty I gather while preparing the wires and so on. Being an empty rack it's not very strong - the rack comes looking almost from the "plumb" position and I hope this gets fixed, as soon as I place the first few blocks in the rack. For my purpose I don't have anything that requires rails, so I'm worried about the stability issue. If you have full size rails, you should get more stability after installing and weighting down the first pair of blocks. Montage is the best Chinese style. Poor photocopy not showing important details (I tried with a magnifying glass to see where the side rails should be installed, but I had to look at other people's photos to confirm my thoughts; side rails (adjustable rails) need to be fitted on hole from the edge, not all the way down/up). My box arrived in a shape that told me it had been in that box at the warehouse for a VERY long time. Many rails were taken out of protective bags, screws were everywhere (and one M6x20 is missing), but I didn't see any scratches. Knowing what comes from which side, another thing is which direction to put each bracket. Lots of trial and error. Mounting holes appear too large, which explains the wobbling when everything is assembled. The final note is the cable routing. I don't see many options, but I'm still looking for solutions to run the power bus sideways and run Category 6 cabling between patch panels etc. I wish there was an option for wheels. Most of my equipment is network equipment so it would be nice to be able to move the rack to the side.
