This was the perfect drill I needed to drill large holes for heavy cable runs when installing my new home generator. The drill bit cut the first few holes easily but seemed to dull very quickly when I had to push really hard to finish the last few holes. I don't think I hit nails or any other metal, but it may have happened without my knowledge. Also, when drilling chipboard, small pieces can catch on the cutting edges and slide across the surface, preventing the drill bit from cutting. In general, if you don't have a lot of holes to drill, this will get the job done.
