This reader does not support extended range RFID tags. In my case, I bought a kit that included a four-door generic Wiegand network controller board, and the readers that came with it could read 10-digit RFID tags correctly. But when this reader is plugged in, it no longer reads the SAME tags. After talking to the people selling the kit, it turned out that THIS reader only outputs 8 digits of the 10 digits of the encoded tags. What is it for? , a solidly built RFID reader, it's 5 stars. However, there should have been more warnings when connecting to a standard Wiegand network control board. Beware.
