They literally save lives. I love her.

My husband has stage 4 lymphoma, chronic iron deficiency and therefore anemia and therefore chronic fatigue. He was given several painful and expensive iron injections to maintain his hemoglobin, and his oncologist suggested trying fish. After consuming fish for a few months his blood counts are now normal - even highly normal - and he is feeling and doing things much better. This product is also great for kidney problems (but check with your doctor if iron deficiency, and hence anemia, is a cause of fatigue). The instructions are obviously on the fish's packaging, but here's our 'recipe'. it is really delicious. ** Lemon Juice - squeeze a few lemons (I make half a dozen small ones at a time) put the juice in a small ice cube tray and freeze ** Aroma to hide the iron taste - we buy packets of flavored cider * * Grow fresh mint in a small pot by the window and add 3 to 5 mint leaves to boiling water ** Add a bag of mint tea or other flavored tea Boil about 4-5 cups of water - wash the fish with dish soap, rinse well and the fish put in boiling water. Tea bags, mint and boil - the pack of fish says 10 minutes but we added more steam and other ingredients so we boil for 15 minutes and add water to keep the level at around 4-5 cups. When you're done, remove the fish and immediately wash it dry with dish soap, put some vegetable oil (a whole teaspoon or less) in the palm of your hand, brush the fish with oil, and wrap in a few paper towels to keep the oil - to prevent rusting - rinse the fish with oil before brewing fish tea. Add flavored apple cider and we also add a teaspoon of stevia (but you can use sugar to taste). He likes it (and I like the taste too, but DO NOT drink it alone unless you are iron deficient - too much iron is toxic to your blood). Sometimes he drinks a cup of "fish tea" (about 10 ounces) and sometimes he drinks it twice a day - he kind of knows when his iron levels are low. The rest is sent to the refrigerator and stored for about 2 days. The whole recipe takes about 20 or 30 minutes and I make it every other day or two. This assumes you have a lemon in your freezer and boil 4-5 cups of water for 15 minutes. One day I forgot to add a lemon and he noticed he was more tired than usual that day (hmm, I wonder why.)
