I used to pay close attention to Revane's reviews when making purchases. No longer. I bought this scanner because of them and their low price, and then the nightmare started. Forget the installation (not too bad) or that only a few of my sensors are available (oil, transmission and differential temp not available, 30% of my reason to buy): the worst is coming. The main reason for my purchase was to connect the car to dedicated track apps to combine the data with the car's performance on the track. I drive a 2016 Mazda Miata on the weekends at the track. Fitted Bafx in preparation for the weekend (car has done 10,000 miles, completely overhauled and updated) and 2 days later the battery died. At first I didn't get it, I thought the 3 year old must have disappeared and replaced the battery. Session 3, Saturday, car stalls at the end of the straight, dash and dash go haywire and I had to leave the track (the marshal is conducting a safety check on a car that has a potential problem). 2nd session on Sunday, the same with the same results but this time I lost hydraulic assist at the end of the straight at 105mph. It's his own fault, I never hooked up that little cr. with a problem (Miata is known for its reliability and has never had a problem). Came home and parked the car. On Wednesday I decided to check a few things and found that the battery was dead again. Updated the tender with the battery and went to fill up on gas. The car stopped again at the gas station. Someone helped me push the car (manually) and returned home. At 1am and unable to sleep I came to an attempt to find out what could be wrong with Bafx: I went to the shop, removed the OBD and threw it in the box. Never had problems like this again. 1+1= gain.
