I have read the reviews before buying and was concerned If you have two of these, I will admit they are not airtight in the sense that food storage products like Tupperware or Rubbermaid are designed to hold soup or other liquids.If You try to fill the lid with liquid, close the bottom and twist But it doesn't matter It keeps my bread fresh all week It's airtight enough to hold the pastries for the week we are eat to keep fresh Let's eat. This is definitely better than aluminum foil.
