2000 4Runner 3.4L V6. With this tool you can remove the toothed belt without removing the air conditioning compressor. If you're going to be replacing the spanner anyway, you don't need it, but you really don't need it, and you'll save yourself a lot of time and trouble by using it. My only complaint was that the locking pin had a fairly strong burr that made it difficult to remove. I didn't see it until it happened. Write it down before you start and it will make you feel better.
