Too short and pops out under load

Unfortunately, as many here say, it's too short. Putting both inlets side by side seems like the perfect length. The problem is that with Mishimoto there is no stretch and the original is stretched. I managed to put it on. But you can see it's short on both ends. Took for a disk in the ravines. Throttle response was amazing. It felt like more power. It had nice intake sounds. This is where the problem started. After driving hard I pulled over and it started stalling and the car stalled. The inlet fell out because it was too short. This machine really sucks air. I've seen other CAI filters collapse under pressure if not boosted. The disadvantages definitely outweigh the advantages. I never want to risk breaking down and having to tow my car. I have the original just for peace of mind.

Pros
  • Great construction
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging
