This is a must have M52 M51 engine modification for your BMW E90. Toss the original OEM intake boot in the trash and replace it with this Mishimoto intake boot. The OEM boot has a non-removable, performance-reducing muffler and flexible concertina fins that create air turbulence, another performance killer. I replaced the stock intake pipe from the airbox to the intake manifold with this Mishimoto. Replacing the standard resonator significantly changes the sound of the BMW N52 engine. Now it sounds aggressive above 4k and looks less like a sewing machine. It's not that it's too short, it's that it doesn't bend easily and therefore ends up being a bit short. Unfortunately, as many here say, it's too short. Putting both inlets side by side seems like the perfect length. The problem is that with Mishimoto there is no stretch and the original is stretched. I managed to put it on. But you can see it's short on both ends. Took for a disk in the ravines. Throttle response was amazing. It felt like more power. It had nice intake sounds.
