Mighty bright for such a small flashlight

For a single-AAA flashlight, this is pretty bright. Seems to be the same brightness whether using a 1.5v alkaline or using a 1.2v NiMH rechargeable battery. I've only used a few quick times, but I did notice it generated a bit of heat when I used it for over a minute. The difuser cap that comes with it works great and glows in the dark after the flashlight is turned off.
