Review on Dorman 420 117 Timing Belt Adjuster by James Crofton

People often swear at Dorman parts but this tension damper had better casting than the original NTN OEM part which I replaced with it. It's also gotten heavier, which is usually a pretty good indicator of quality when it comes to car parts for VW. Only time will tell if this damper will hold up, but I am confident that this part will tighten the timing belt on my 1.8 ton AWP engine. Fits perfectly and the machine works great. Made in Taiwan, not China where good parts are usually made.
