Battery operated non-contact handheld thermometer.

Installed two AAA batteries in the compartment under the trigger. You point it at something, pull the trigger and hold it. After about a second a laser dot will appear, you aim it at the item you want to read, hold it for a second or two until the reading stops changing, then release the trigger. The spotlight turns off and the display shows a reading for a few seconds (with the backlight on) and then turns off. I find it most useful in the kitchen (fryer, skillet, oven, fridge, freezer, hot water etc) but it can be used for a variety of purposes such as: B. to find hot equipment that needs to run colder (bearings, electronics, etc.). Temperature readings for about 2-3 seconds. You should experiment to get the best result. This is not a good way to tell if someone has a fever. But for non-living things where the harsh temperature is enough, it's great. Keep in mind that this is a fairly accurate thermometer, but not a medical or scientific instrument, but it should be clear that it comes in very handy and opens up a world of information that you've never had before. Troubleshooting, insulation efficiency, hidden heat sources, charcoal grill, cooking appliances, heaters, etc. If I changed something, did it really improve performance? Check the temperature of circuit breakers in your panel, wall outlets that can cause sparks and are about to fail or catch fire, which bearing in a fan motor is about to seize? I could go on. I wish I had bought one of these years ago, I use it almost every day and find new things to measure with.

Pros
  • Thermometer
Cons
  • When in doubt
