Review on Nikon 25395 MC DC2 Remote Release by Chris Maurer

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Good buy: digital camera accessories

Purchased for use with the D90. There are several ways to take a picture without pressing your camera's shutter button: -i.) Use a timer in your cameraii.) Use a wireless remote control. iii.) Use a wired remote control. Of the three options above, I would like to explain why this wired remote control is the best of them all: -1.) It is much more reliable than a wireless remote control. I have a wireless device, but if the angle isn't right, you can't get the trigger either. Wireless requires a battery to operate, and sometimes the battery will drain when you need it most. This device is powered by your camera. 2.) It's compact and lightweight. It fits perfectly in the pocket of your photo bag or clothes. 3.) It is very easy to use. The plug fits into a specific slot in the D90. Basically "Plug and Play". 4.) It's very versatile. If you press the button once, you will get a shot; If you hold it, you can get a flash. 5.) It has a "lock" feature that allows you to use your camera's shutter speed setting for shutter speeds over 30 seconds. Otherwise, you can also use a timer in your camera to reduce camera shake. 6.) It's a reasonable price and doesn't cause arms and legs.
