Review on Enhance and Protect with Cheng Concrete Countertop Wax by Sarah Clark

Revainrating 3 out of 5

It seems to work, but there are better ways.

I applied this to a test stain to see how well it worked preventing water from seeping into a concrete countertop (which had previously been sealed with Chenga's sealer). It's not going down very well. Of the three waxes I tested, this one performed the worst. After a few minutes, water easily penetrated the wax layer. The best of the three I tested was Howard's wax. This was previously 100% waterproof. There may be a better wax, but this one worked. It's also food safe. There really is no need to overcomplicate this wax business. They have beeswax and carnauba. Take a simple wax and apply it properly, no unnecessary and less effective "special products" like this.

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Thin
