I have used this wax and found it easy to apply

I have used this wax and found it easy to apply. Follow the instructions to get everything right. I will apply a new coat of paint about every six months to keep my countertop looking nice and protected.

Pros
  • Only positive
Cons
  • Could have chosen a newer model

Do not use on glossy surface

Hours spent removing and sealing the top. Used a glossy sealer and the end result looked pretty good. Then I used this product and tried buffing it with an orbital polisher and it came out cloudy and dull. Not impressed. I just had to leave the seal on.

  • Wide range

Good stuff!: Wood care products, waxes and oils

The thing works very well. We use it after deep cleaning countertops in our kitchen. Lasts about two months for one application. You don't need a ton of wax, so a bottle will do for a while (depending on the surface you're spraying). It also doesn't have a strong odor, which I really appreciate.

Pros
  • Test for one year
Cons
  • There are disadvantages

I used this for our concrete coffee table.

I used this for a concrete coffee table on our covered patio. I applied it with a dry spot applicator. Then polish with a clean cloth. I used two layers. The color of the concrete didn't change, but it began to shine a little. I might try a different coat. I'll update the review after it got caught in the rain and soaked up some condensate.

Pros
  • Durable Test Results
Cons
  • There are nuances

Wanted to love this product

We used this on our concrete kitchen countertops and unfortunately it didn't work. We used it instead of Cheng Sealant and had to return both. We followed the instructions step by step and were very disappointed. We had to sand everything down and start over with a different product. We sincerely want this to work for us. It was very cumbersome and time consuming to remove everything.

Excellent product for polishing and maintaining wood

Very easy to use. Just follow the instructions. Be sure to use a sealer before waxing. I don't know why there are such bad reviews. To be safe you must have a smooth concrete countertop before using this product. My countertops were still a bit unpolished, in which case the wax would wear off quickly. Wax gives the concrete a yellowish tint. But I liked the care.

It seems to work, but there are better ways.

I applied this to a test stain to see how well it worked preventing water from seeping into a concrete countertop (which had previously been sealed with Chenga's sealer). It's not going down very well. Of the three waxes I tested, this one performed the worst. After a few minutes, water easily penetrated the wax layer. The best of the three I tested was Howard's wax. This was previously 100% waterproof. There may be a better wax, but this one worked. It's also food safe. There really is no need

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Thin

Doesn't work as well as car wax

The jar they sent me appears to have been frozen once. The top of the wax was caked and the sides were wrinkled. On scraping the hardened surface, I found a creamy wax that applied easily, but was slightly more difficult to remove (immediately after applying a square foot). Didn't notice any difference in the counter. In fact, I got the idea to try the wax I use on my cars and to my surprise I found excellent results. I cannot recommend this product.

Pros
  • Food safe + water based + non toxic = wax CHENG
Cons
  • Not sure

Easy to use. Good surface finish.

I bought this product to use in combination with Cheng Concrete Sealer. Can't speak to putting it on unsealed concrete, but I suspect it probably won't do much in terms of shine or protection. After being impressed with how the sealer helped bring out a lot of the color in my concrete, I was surprised that the wax helped bring it out just a little bit more. It's not an overly dramatic difference, but it offers a nice smooth finish and just the right amount of color enhancement. I don't want to…

Pros
  • Ideal for concrete worktops, inset sinks, fireplaces and furniture
Cons
  • Unbelievable price

An OK product if you don't follow their instructions

To all who give 1 and 2 stars, this was my first reaction to this wax. After following the directions on the can for most of the meter (going through 3 buffing pads and getting angry) I stopped and re-read the directions and followed them. There was no shine, just clogged buffing pads. DO NOT use a damp sponge or wax applicator as directed in the instructions and DO NOT begin buffing immediately. Both methods are counterproductive for two reasons: 1: Thins the wax 2: Doesn't become cloudy. If…
