After trying to use this tool to change the oil filter I had to stop and buy a specific size filter wrench instead. First, this tool requires more clearance and sideroom around the filter than one would expect, which is not appropriate for the engine compartment of most modern cars or motorcycles; Secondly, the grip is not enough to loosen or tighten the filter, it just leaves a lot of scratches on your installed filter and, I believe, on the replacement filter too; Third, the 1/2 inch interface indicates that it is designed for the high torque range and is therefore more suitable for heavy agricultural machinery than automobiles.
