I never thought I would need a 6 inch extension but then I bought a great coffee maker but it came with a note saying the cord was intentionally shortened so that it doesn't lie down. Unfortunately, the K is also a tall coffee machine. So if you slide it back to the counter and under the overhead cabinet you can't open the top to fill it and because the cord is so short you can't pull it out either. without turning it off. That's where those short extensions come in handy, the extra 6 inches is just what a girl needs to get something ready in the morning. The only downside is they come in 5 packs so I now have 4 extra extensions that I just don't need so if you need a shorty.
