He found this to be a very useful little tool that takes the guesswork out of measuring in hard-to-reach places. This avoids cutting off a little more because of measurement uncertainty and then slowly cutting off piece by piece until it fits. An added benefit is the ability to turn your tape measure into a tape measure + spirit level for marking distances. on the wall. All in all, it's an unusually small tool to solve the long-standing problem of getting accurate readings in hard-to-reach places. fred
