I was a registered welder 30 years ago before moving into nursing. I still used a small welder from time to time and decided to try a cored wire welder to use in my garage at 110 ohms. I borrowed a more expensive wire feeder from a friend and knew they worked for what I needed them for. I was very pleased with the performance of this little welder. I welded together a 1/2" flat stock and made racks to hang 3 kayaks in my shed. They turned out great. I didn't use digital numbers to set it, I ran faster and hotter than the "normal range "I let my son try it who has no welding experience and had no problem learning how to start the roller. I was pleasantly surprised at how well it works. Enough to give your opinion on this product.
