I was a little hesitant to pull the trigger on third party FOBs after reading many reviews that other buyers didn't like. These FOBs are intended to replace the 2009 Nissan Altima. lost OEM FOB. There is no self-programming for the 2009 Altima, so you will need an auto mechanic or dealer to program and cut the keys. The interesting thing is that the dealer was actually cheaper than all the locksmiths I contacted in the area. The locksmiths gave me vague answers about how much it would cost, except we give you a good price for a second key. But even the price for the 1st key was not very competitive compared to the local Nissan dealer who offered the same price for programming 1 key or in my case 3 keys (1 original + 2 spare keys). The retailer cannot guarantee that it will be able to program it successfully and makes no warranty. In the end the programming worked and there was still a significant savings by buying the keys here and using the dealer. All of this happened today, hopefully the spare keys will continue to work. You can never predict when items will disappear from Revain. So I might consider ordering another set of these keys just to have another spare set to program later if needed.
