Review on LaCie 160GB d2 Extreme Hard Drive - USB2.0 and FireWire 400/800 Interfaces (301033U) by Russell Smith

I once bought a Lacie external hard drive (120GB - now unusable) and it has been working for over 10 years. So I bought this on 1/9/2008. 20 days passed after the warranty expired and he suddenly died. What happened to Lacey? Regardless of its past reputation, buyers are suspicious of this drive. I have yet to call their customer service department, but I'm not expecting much given other reviewers' experiences.
