When I found out I needed a gas cap because my check engine light came on. I felt liberated, which is one of the least of the problems. My mechanic told me to get a real cap, not a general purpose cap. He told me that only a real cap works. So I listened to him and ordered this hat. I was also concerned that the lights from one of the reviews might burn for as long as 10 tanks of gas. I follow the instructions to put the cap on and 3 clicks, the light was still on. I was skeptical what would happen if the light was still on after 10 tanks of gas. Do I have time to get my money back or is there another problem? Well I'm glad it didn't take long. After the 1st tank filling the light was still on. There's nothing I can do but keep an eye on him. Without thinking, I noticed that the light was off. So the light does not come on after the 2nd and 3rd tank filling. I'm happy!
