Review on Allied Tools SwitchGrip 30582: Reliable Dual Action Plier Combo Pack for Versatile Use by Andrew Kay

A few years ago I had a pair of pliers with wire cutters and I accidentally cleaned them with something that attacked the surface. Still works, but I finally got a shiny new replacement. It was just one of the pliers in my drawer until I got a job that involves a lot of air travel and I need to keep my tool box as compact as possible in my checked luggage. One less element to put in there. The size is just right for my needs. Haven't used large needles/pliers yet, although I expect they'll make it into my home tool kit. Also just noticed that they now have a locking mechanism to lock them closed. I don't think my big one had that. I used a rubber band to keep it closed in my tool bag. The clasp for the smaller one only works when twisted onto the needle tip. A large pair will only be fixed when flipped over on pliers.
